10 Celebrities with Strange Physical Defects

Even though we tend to think of celebrities as flawless, perfect in every way, and we wish that we could be as beautiful, glamorous and breathtaking as our idols, we need to keep one thing in mind, they are only human, just like us. They aren’t perfect, they aren’t flawless.

As a matter of fact, it is our flaws that make us all unique, interesting and beautiful. Here is a list of some of the celebrities that we think are flawless and what their flaws are. They aren’t so beautiful though.

Vanessa Paradis

Vanessa Paradis is one of the few A-list celebrities who isn’t afraid to show-off their unique flaws. If anything Paradis is so confident with her natural beauty, she has no reason to even care about the gap in her grin.

Vanessa also has no plans to fix her unique flaw, and in a sense this makes her even more beautiful because she also exudes confidence, which is always a very attractive feature on anyone.

It also helps that Paradise has many other “assets” to draw from and focus people’s attention.

To say that this French singer, model, and actress hasn’t let her flaws get in the way of her beauty would be a huge understatement. Paradis became a child star at the age of 14 with the worldwide success of her single “Joe le taxi”, and since 1991, she has been a spokesmodel for Chanel

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher may seem flawless, perfect in every way, he has good looks, he’s tall, he’s intelligent, he’s funny and he’s a successful businessman. However, even Kutcher isn’t perfect, he suffers from a syndactyly. Yup, that’s right Mr. Perfect, Ashton Kutcher, suffers from the syndactyly. What is syndactyly, you ask, that is the medical term for webbed toes (double eeeew).

Aaaflack (I mean Ashton) is an actor, producer, investor and former model. He began his acting career portraying Michael Kelso in the Fox sitcom That ‘70s Show, which aired for eight seasons.

Kutcher made his film debut in the romantic comedy Coming Soon and became well known for starring in the 2003 hit film Dude, Where’s My Car?

It seems that Mila Kunis, at least, doesn’t have a problem with Kutcher’s webbed toes, the couple started dating in April 2012 and became engaged in February 2014. Kunis also gave birth to their daughter Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher on October 1, 2014.

Mark Wahlberg

Ever since starting out as a model for Calvin Klein, Mark Wahlberg’s “defect” definitely hasn’t gone unnoticed. Several magazines have covered the fact that Marky Mark actually has a third nipple on his chiseled chest.

Most people would have a hard time going shirtless if they had an extra nipple, however, Wahlberg has never had a problem showing off his muscled chest, but then I don’t think I would either if I had a body that looked like that. Extra nipple or not.

Wahlberg became famous for his 1991 debut as the frontman for his band, “Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch”. He later transitioned to acting and is now known for his acting rather than his singing.

Mark Wahlberg has also served as executive producer of three HBO series: the comedy-drama Entourage (2004-2011), the period crime drama Boardwalk Empire (2009-2014) and the comedy-drama How to Make it in America (2010-2011).

Forest Whitaker

One of Forest Whitaker’s most notable features is his left lazy eye. Some critics have called his deformity “intriguing” and that it “gives him a lazy, contemplative look.” Whitaker has explained that the condition is hereditary and that he has considered having surgery to correct it, not for cosmetic reasons but because it affects his vision.

However, the left eye is the only thing lazy about Forest. Whitaker has earned a reputation for intensive character study work for films including Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Bird and Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, for his work in direct-to-video films and for his and for his recurring role as LAPD Internal Affairs Lieutenant Jon Kavanaugh on the award-winning television series The Shield.

Whitaker won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for his performance as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in the 2006 film The Last King of Scotland.

Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington broke the pinky finger on his right hand during a childhood basketball accident and never had it set correctly, resulting in the finger healing in a crooked position. The finger is still crooked to this day, bent at the bottom knuckle a full 45 degrees outward from his other fingers.

Washington has received much critical acclaim for his film work since the 1990s, including his portrayals of real-life figures such as South African anti-apartheid activist Steve Biko in the 1987 film Cry Freedom, Muslim minister and human rights activist Malcolm X, in the 1992 film Malcolm X, boxer Rubin “Hurricane” Carter in the 1999 film The Hurricane and football coach Herman Boone in the 2000 film Remember the Titans, to name only a few.

Denzel Washington has received two Golden Globe awards, a Tony Award, and two Academy Awards: Best Supporting Actor for the historical drama-war-film Glory (1989) and Best Actor for his role as a corrupt cop in the crime thriller Training Day (2001).

There have been several rumors in regards to how Seal got the scars on his face. From battling a lion, to the scars being the result of a tribal scarification rite. Well that is why they call them rumors, the truth is that Seal’s identifiable facial scars actually came from a type of lupus called discoid lupus erythematosus, a condition that specifically affects the skin above the neck.

Henry Olusegun Adeola Samuel, better known as Seal, is a British soul and R&B singer-songwriter. Selling more than 30 million albums worldwide, Seal is known for his numerous international hits, including “Kiss from a Rose”, which appeared on the soundtrack to the 1995 film Batman Forever. He was also a coach on The Voice Australia in 2012 and 2013.

Seal has won several music awards throughout his career, including three Brit Awards, four Grammy Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award. As a songwriter, he received the British Academy’s Ivor Novello Award, for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, in consecutive years for “Killer” (1990) and “Crazy” (1991).

Kate Bosworth

Kate Bosworth suffers from a condition called heterochromia iridum. It sounds pretty serious, however, it means she has a hazel right eye and a blue left eye.

Actress, model and singer, Bosworth starred in the television series Young Americans, in which she played Bella Banks. She became well known with a leading role in 2002’s Blue Crush. The following year, she played the teenage girlfriend of porn star John Holmes in Wonderland opposite Val Kilmer.

Kate Bosworth has appeared in several notable films, including Superman Returns (2006) and 2008’s blackjack drama film 21. In 2008, she became both Calvin Klein Jeans newest model and spokeswoman for Coach newest luxury bags.

In 2011, Bosworth made her singing debut in a Cotton Incorporated’s Fabric of My Life advertisement.

Kate Bosworth has always been interested in a professional career as a competitive horse racer and, by the age of fourteen, she was a champion equestrian.

Megan Fox

Megan Fox has a form of brachydactyly called clubbed thumb, however, considering her other attributes I think most men are more than willing to overlook a creepy looking thumb. According to Fox, maybe even some women would overlook it as well.

Fox began her acting career in 2001, with several minor television and film roles, and played a regular role on the Hope & Faith TV sitcom. She made her film debut in 2004, with a role in the teen comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

Megan Fox went on to co-star as Mikaela Banes, the love interest of Shia LaBeouf’s character in the 2007 blockbuster action film Transformers, which became her breakout role. Fox then went on to reprise her role in the 2009 sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner also suffers from the condition called brachymetatarsia, in which one of the bones in the foot is too short, in her case her pinky toe, causing her pinky to overlap her other toes.

However, Garners weird toe didn’t keep her from gaining recognition for her performance as CIA officer Sydney Bristow in the ABC spy-action thriller drama series Alias, which aired for five seasons from 2001 to 2006. Her work on the show gained her a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Garner made her feature film debut in the comedy Dude, Where’s My Car? opposite Ashton Kutcher, playing the girlfriend of Kutcher’s character. While working on Alias, she also landed roles in movies such as the epic war film Pearl Harbor (2001) and the biographical crime drama Catch Me if You Can (2002).

Garner is also notable for her campaign for laws to protect her children from paparazzi. Garner stated, “There’s an idea that because our pictures are everywhere that we are complicit in it. When really what happens is they’re waiting outside our door every single day.”

“My kids take karate for example, and we have our classes at the same time every week. So the guys know when we have karate, and so 20 of them wait there for us every single class. So that’s a lot of energy coming at little, little kids,” Garner continued to say.

Sylvester Stallone

Complications that Sylvester Stallone’s mother suffered while in labor with him forced her obstetricians to use two pairs of forceps during his birth; the misuse of these accidentally severed a nerve and caused the lower left side of Stallone’s face to become paralyzed, including parts of his lip, tongue and chin. This is the reason for Stallone’s snarling look and his slightly slurred speech. So it isn’t just because he is a super tough guy (which he is).

Sly Stallone is well known for his roles in action movies. Two of his most notable characters are the boxer Rocky Balboa, the title character of the Rocky series from 1976 to 2006 and soldier John Rambo from the Rambo saga, which ran from 1982 to 2008. Stallone wrote every episode of the two franchises, and directed some of their installments.

Stallone has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Rocky, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor. This makes him the third man in history to receive these two nominations for the same film, after Charlie Chaplin and Orson Welles.
